Editing grammar is arithmetic on adjacent pairs, and that is why almost nobody checks it: a jump cut is a property of two rows of a shot list and of nothing else in the document, so a person reading one row at a time will never find one. Shot sizes are an order — els < ls < mls < ms < mcu < cu < ecu — and two shots of the same subject fewer than two steps apart, from an angle that has barely moved, do not read as seen anew. They read as a twitch.

The engine is free and needs no account. Paste the shot list in cutting order and every pair is judged here: the size step, the angle change, and which side of the 180-degree line each camera sat on. Cut from one side to the other with no neutral shot between them and screen direction reverses — two people in conversation appear to face the same way, and the eyeline you can see is the symptom of the geometry you cannot. It also says which cuts it could not check, because a clean report over a list missing half its fields means nothing. Every lane ships a worked example that costs nothing.
